Dr. Stasik was board certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery in 1975.
Dr. Stasik was President of the Lehigh County Medical Society in 1991. From 1991 to 2001, he was Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Dr. Stasik chaired many committees at Lehigh Valley Hospital from 1979 to 1987, including Utilization Review and Quality Assurance, Tumor Board, Pool Trust Liaison, and Credentials.
Dr. Stasik served as President-Elect of Lehigh Valley Hospital Medical Staff from 1984 to 1986, and then from 1986 to 1987. He chaired the Medical Executive Committee at Lehigh Valley Hospital in 1987 and represented the Medical Staff on the hospital’s Board of Trustees from 1984 to 1987. He is also the past President of both the Lehigh County Medical Society (1991) and the Pennsylvania Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (1987-1989). From 1996 to 2004, Dr. Stasik served as Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Sacred Heart Hospital.
He has been awarded Teacher of the Year citations four times in the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
